What We Actually Do, and How Often
SparkWise Electric has completed more than 2,500 jobs across Northern Virginia and Maryland. That number is worth breaking down, because it says more about what we do than a list of service names does.
- Lighting — over 550 completed jobs. Recessed lighting, LED retrofits, fixture replacement, under-cabinet and landscape work.
- Outlets, switches and GFCI — over 400 jobs. The everyday work, plus the troubleshooting that comes with it.
- Panels and service equipment — over 270 jobs. Heavy-ups, replacements, sub-panels, meter bases and service masts.
- Wiring and rewiring — over 260 jobs. New branch circuits, MC and Romex runs, additions and remodels.
- EV charging — over 220 jobs. Hardwired chargers and NEMA 14-50 receptacles, every major brand.
- Commercial — over 160 jobs. Retail, restaurant, warehouse, office and tenant fit-out.
Every job that required a permit got one. That is not a marketing line — it is the reason our work passes inspection and does not become a problem at resale.

- Commercial panel upgrades — including three-phase main-lug panels
- Commercial lighting retrofits — LED conversions and high-bay
- Warehouse electrical — high-bay lighting, power distribution, boom-lift work
- Commercial EV charger installation

Permits Are Not Optional, and We Do Not Treat Them That Way
Panel work, new circuits, EV chargers, hot tub feeds, service changes and most remodel wiring all require a permit and an inspection in Northern Virginia. We pull the permit under our own license before the work starts, and we meet the inspector so you do not have to.
We file in Fairfax County through the PLUS portal, Loudoun County through LandMARC, Prince William County through the ePortal, and directly with Arlington County, the City of Alexandria, Falls Church, Manassas, Manassas Park, Stafford, Fredericksburg and King George. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and they do change, so we confirm current rules with the authority having jurisdiction on each job rather than assuming last year's process still applies.
An unpermitted installation is a problem that surfaces later — at resale, at a claim, or when the next electrician opens the panel. It is cheaper to do it right the first time.
Licensing
SparkWise Electric holds a Virginia Master Electrician license and a Virginia Class A Contractor license, and a Maryland Statewide Master Electrician license. We are insured.
